Front Cover Final Screen Shots For Second & Final Drafts

This image is of how I constructed my front cover main image by using the quick selection tool.

This is my first draft of my front cover, I improved this by applying my front cover headline and square box using the text and rectangle tool. Alongside, adding sub-images and a barcode to add to the professionalism of the magazine.
This screenshot shows how I have constructed the sub-images of my front cover, I did this by insert the photos, re-sizing them and enduring the brightness of the images.

To construct the fashion trends button of my front cover, I used the quick selection tool to crop around the clothing.

To apply the clothing on to the front cover, I then selected all of the photos and made them copy under the same format when made them a group meaning they would move together. I then copied this image onto my front cover.

Double Page Spread Final Construction

I first added the shapes which will create the graphic affect of my double page spread which the text will be applied to.
I constructed this by using the rectangle tool to make the square and triangle shapes.

I then added my headline '' I couldn't wear a dress made of ham'' and interview using the text tool. I also added pink swirls which would attract females as it is a traditional feminine colour.

Moreover, I have added my main image using the quick selection tool to crop the photo out of it's original background as well as enduring the brightness, I also used a film strip to add to the contemporary phase of pictures or as the youth would quote ''selfies'', as well as filling the film strip in with sub-images and enduring the brightness of the images.

Futhermore, I added icons at the bottom of the page such as page numbers and the caption of '' miss pop'', to make the magazine seem more professional.

Lastly, I have chosen to add the masthead icon onto the double page spread to again make the magazine seem more professional.

Mini Step By Step Of My First Draft Double Page Spread: Development

The First Ever Development Of My Double Page Spread

First I enlarged the double page spread by saving the picture as a background then increasing the scale size of the picture.

Then I used the rectangle tool to create a white box whereby my interview could be applied to on to a base which can be read by my reader. Then I added the artists name using the rectangle tool and the text tool, I previously chose to call my artist's name ''Tori Kelly'' but I changed this as I believe this name would appeal to the younger generation.

Font Experiments with Headline for Double Page Spread

I have designed three headlines for my double page spread of female pop artist ''Kamzie K'' whereby she quoted in her interview ''I couldn't wear a dress made of ham''.The first headline is a quite a modern chic font which will capture the diligent and enduring image of the artist as well as the second headline which has quite a large shape which exaggerates the headline. Moreover, the last headline is an extremely enthuastic font which a comic undertone describing the humorous effect of the headline.

Font Experiments with Masthead For Front Cover

Front Cover Mastheads

I have constructed three masthead for my magazine called ‘’MISS POP’’. The reason for my font choice is that it is a bold size but is spaced between each letter which makes the headline easier to digest. The second masthead is increasingly heavy in size which is a advantage as it captures the vibrantness of pop culture however the large size of the headline may make it harder for the reader to take in alongside the third masthead which has groovy effect to the style of writing which adds to the bubbly behaviour of pop culture.
