School Magazine Planning Ideas
What is the name of your magazine ? What are the connotations of the name ?
The name of my school magazine is '
BRAINBOX' which illustrates about the brain control of making being a student at college and how the brain changes to a developed format of subject as well as the new world that you are in from secondary school and academically working at your educational necessities to the best of your abilities.
What will be your front cover story and how will you visualise this?
My front cover will be model holding
' a boxing gloves" which will visualise the aspect of determination and working with your studies to the best of your abilities.
Who is your target audience?
My target audience is aimed towards the ages of
16-18 years who are currently at a-level stage.
The gender of both males and females is appropriate towards the concept of the magazine as I would like to propose the action of the importance of water during your studies as I believe that both men and women go through the stress's of academic life in a variety of ways.
What sort of shot will it be?
A mid-shot angle for the main image as it will capture the
'boxing' aspect as well as being a student which will be shown through the clothing of the sixth form uniform.
What mise-en-scene ?
The location would be outside using a clear white or black background as I will be using the main colours as blue and red which will allow the main image to stand out drastically. The clothing will be a standard sixth form uniform conforming to the school theme. The prop I will use for my main image will be a boxing gloves to connotate towards the headline of
'Study Knockout'.
What would be your headline and how will it match the main image ?
My headline would be
'Study Knockout' which would relate to the
'BRAINBOX' as it emphasises the magazine's aim in hope for students to put effort in their learning.
What colour scheme do you want and explain why?
The colour scheme of red, blue , white and black is appropriate for my magazine as it illustrates that vibrant and boldness is powerful in the education system. Red projects the meaning of strength and determination which shows the belief of making it through your studies. Blue relates towards the peace and calmness aspect of the magazine to engage students to relieve stress of exams and coursework.
